Hey dolls. So one of my fb polish friends suggested that we do a themed mani for Mondays. I love themes, so I hopped right on in suggesting polka dots as the first theme. Poor job...I suggested something I'd never tried before. I envisioned using my fav colors for this mani...yellow, purple, and pink. Enters
Zoya's Creamy,
Perrie, and
Flora. I alternated Creamy and Perrie on each finger.

These colors are amazing and definitely deserve to be worn alone! Both are shown with 2 coats and no top coat. Creamy was not as much of a pain as most yellows are. It showed some balding with one coat, but evened itself out on the second. Perrie applied perfectly. It was almost a one coater, but I did 2 for consistency. Then I decided to add the dots with Flora. Now, I used a bobby pin because I don't have dotting tools. I read somewhere that these work just as well. Well...here it is...
So...I don't like this at all. Its just a bit much going on for my tastes. In my mind, it was going to be so adorable. It just reminds me of a bag of Easter jelly beans. Maybe if it was only on one nail...IDK...it just doesn't do anything for me. I took this off right after the pictures lol. The only good thing about it is that I got to try out 2 new Zoyas!
Have you ever envisioned a combo that you thought would be awesome to end up just blah???

Maybe if they were smaller dots?
I think the yellow is okay. Maybe not the purple though.
Yeah...the dots could definitely be smaller. Its just a bit busy for me overall. Thanks for your comments ladies!
I actually like it...I am just now beginning to take notice of and dedicate time to my nails so that's just my novice opinion. :) Your nails are AWESOME!
Awww thanks Chi Chi!!!
Try using one of those combs for teasing hair, thats what I use! You know the ones with long handles? Its so much easier! I love the purple here! Its gorg! All the best! xx
That's a great idea! Since then, I've purchased some dotting tools for around $7 from amazon and I love them.
