So I've decided to do an update on my untrieds challenge. I was successful for all of 2 weeks. I know...I know...poor job. It all started with the Cult Nails July 4th promo. While one of the colors I bought was for a future giveaway, I did snag 2 for myself as well. Then on my trip to Orlando for the Sade/John Legend concert (which was too awesome for words!!!), I went to Ulta. I felt like I sorta had to go in because I don't have one in my town and its the first time I've been to one since I've started blogging. And I had a coupon. And I had a friend who wanted to go there too. Ok...ok...enough of the excuses. I'm going to try to do better.
The good news...all of the polishes that I've used since that initial challenge post have been untrieds...lol. More good news...Zoya hasn't done a full promo on the new fall collections, so I haven't bought it yet. I really want the Mirrors collection though. I also have made a concerted effort not to go to any drugstore or Sallys this week, so I haven't purchased anything since the Ulta buys on Sunday. So its almost been a week, let's see how long this can go. Here's the link to my current stash. The untried count is at 114...or something around that...my eyes were going crossed looking at the spreadsheet lol. Looks like I've got some polish to wear. That's way too many pretties just sitting around for my liking.

114 untrieds?!?! I have about 20 and I thought that was a lot. I'm trying not to buy anything from Ulta or Sally's or a drugstore either cause I'm definitely getting the Cult Nails fall collection, probably Zoya (even if I only REALLY like two, both from the mirrors collection), and I plan on making a purchase for my birthday in September.
We have an addiction BIG TIME. :)
I only have about 90 polishes total, but a little over half are in the untried since I go so many in such a short time! I am working on it though ;) The three colors on my toes, and one on my fingers today were all untried! :)
I've got ya beat in the untried count. As I am just getting my collection into a spreadsheet & doing color wheels of what is in what box, I have put all the untries (for now) into a # of boxes. I have been very busy in the past 5 months buying polish, so my untried count is up to 389 right now! YIKES! And then I still need to give love to all my favs. I think I need to start while summer is still here doing multi colored nails like on your blog backdrop page here!
Oh...and I was not able to curtail myself on the Mirrors collection from Zoya. I had a spoon credit of $9 that was going to drop off, so I had to put in an order - and of course you want free ship, so you need to get $50 worth for the free ship...I cannot wait until I see my Mirrors arrive.
@BMR...I know what you mean. I don't even know how it happened, it just seems like the stash grew overnight. I want the new Cult Nails collection too!!!
@ambern1984...I think my main issue is not really the number itself, its more the percentage. Half should not be untried...just seems so wrong to me lol. Good luck making it through yours!
@beachgal...389...my goodness. I think I'm around 250 total. I feel like I have to wear the colors in a full mani though to consider them as "tried". Maybe that's part of the issue. Let me know how you like the Mirrors collection!
