Hey dolls, I just wanted to share my latest free purchase using the amazon gift cards I get from using the Swagbucks search engine. As posted previously, I've been looking for a staple top coat now that I'm no longer using Seche Vite. Several people recommended Nubar Diamont Seal & Shine Top Coat, so I was excited to try it.
I purchased this top coat on amazon for around $8 with tax. This may seem like a lot for top coat, but I don't mind since I used a gift card and got it for free. While I like to buy my top/base coats on the ground, I'm willing to try this out if it works really well with the brands of polish I use. As I said in the Revlon Starry Pink post yesterday, my initial thoughts on this top coat are all good. The drying time was quick (less than 5 minutes), no shrinkage, and I like the thickness of it. I'll be keeping you posted as I use it over the next few weeks with different brands. I kind of feel like I need a Nubar polish if I'm going to use the top coat. Maybe that will be my next purchase. :)

I bought Seche Vite because everyone raves so much about. One use and I quickly understood what shrinkage is. I hate that. I'm thinking I need to find a new top coat already too.
So far this Nubar is working well. I've also tried Poshe and Out the Door. Poshe is thick like SV but I'm realizing it doesn't play well with all brands. Out the Door was ok. Its thinner and takes a little longer to dry, but no shrinkage. A lot of readers have recommended Revlon top coat, so I'm going to try that next.
Thanks for the info!
No problem!!!
Get Nubar's Reclaim. To die for!
SV with no shrinkage would be the holy grail. Shrinkage has not been to bad for me and I loooove the fast dry and hard shiny finish.
The swatches of Reclaim are gorgeous!
I also am a huge fan of SV and have no shrinkage from it. But I heard so much about Diamonte - I bought 2 bottles from a friend who deals with Nubar on eBay that I trust. I think he got some that were in that bad batch I read about on blogs that were out there. My bottles are really thin - does not last and I need to re-apply every day. it also does not give me the shine I get from SV, Essie top or OPI top. I would like to try Diamonte again when I know this lot is not around. I read where one blogger really fought with Nubar direct which is where she got her's from. Finally they did replace her's and it was admitted they had a few lots out there that were not up to par.
I'm pretty sure they've gone back to the original formula now. I'm in love with diamont!
