Barielle Green Opal

Forever 21, Christian Louboutin, Charlotte Russe

ShopStyle

Hey dolls, today I have another Barielle beauty for you. Green Opal is an olive metallic with hints of golden shimmer. This was one of the shades from the Gem Stone Earth collection that I wasn't really sure about based on the picture on the website. It is gorgeous in person though! Although it is a metallic, I didn't have too many issues with brushstrokes. I was rushing when I used Green Opal so I skipped the base coat, hence the bumps on a few nails (Note to self, do not skip base coat ever!) I didn't use top coat either and Green Opal dried extremely fast. The formula was relatively thin, but well pigmented and I applied two coats in the pictures below.
I really like Green Opal. Olive polishes can sometimes look too drab in the warmer months, but Green Opal has just enough shimmer for this to be a seasonal shade.

How do you feel about olive polishes?

Barielle products can be purchased here for $8 and they are usually buy one get one half off. You can also check out their facebook page for special promos.

Nice one. I am blown away by all the new shades that suddenly appeared in the color chart for Barielle. It goes far beyond just a 4-6 piece collection. I guess the company that bought Barielle about 2 yrs ago now, finally got around to creating some updated standard collection shades. It's just so hard to pick from their cruddy graphic color spots/off descriptions. I have ordered a # of times and been totally thrown when my order arrived as to what the shades really were. This one might be a tish too frosty for me.

I hope that they will switch to bottle shots in the future so we can get a good representation of the polishes.
