Lemon Mani with Zoya Apple

The nail art theme for the week in the PAA group was fruit. At first, I thought I was going to skip this week since my BM plates didn't have any fruit images. A couple of girls told me to check youtube for inspiration, so off I went. Here's what I came up with, thanks to linda165.

Behold the lemon accent nail. Zoya Creamy was used for the lighter yellow, a white SH nail art pen for the lines and Sinful Colors Let's Meet for the lemon peel. This was easy enough for my minimal nail art talent and I think it came out pretty cute. It makes me want a sprite...even though I haven't had a soda in over 5 yrs (other than the occasional ginger ale when sick). I don't think I've ever worn yellow and green together, but making the board above has inspired an outfit for the week! I decided to only do the lemon as an accent nail because I wanted Zoya Apple to be the star. This is such a pretty, shimmery green. It looks awesome out in the sunlight. It applied in 2 easy coats, with the usual awesome Zoya formula. Here's Apple by itself.

And here's the video by linda165 that inspired this look...she has some great nail art tutorials!

What do you think of this look?

I love it...and like you - me being major low on the nail art ability, I think I might be able to do this one too, but for the fact I have no yellow cream polish. But I am a proud owner of Zoya Apple, which for those of you who don't know...is from the absolutely FAB Zoya summer 2011 Sunshine collection. There is not a dog in the 6 bottle group. Everyone is a summer shinning stunner! No glitter to scrub off - these are all flecks. My fav is Kimmy a red/orange. I am sporting the golden orange/yellow one from the collection right now called Tanzy and might have to try doing an accent with a lime vs. your lemon!
