Valentine's Look ~ Zoya Posh
Happy Valentine's day dolls! I hope that all of you do something special with the one you love or just for yourself. Today I'm wearing Zoya Posh, a matte red with a slight shimmer. The formula was great for a matte; I only applied one coat. It wasn't the least bit streaky and self-leveled very well.
You all should know by now that I am not a fan of red, but I really like this one. It's kind of a sexy color. Next, I decided to try out the infamous matte with glossy tips as seen on Chloe's Nails.
This was my first scotch tape tips mani and I definitely could use some more practice to ensure that it's properly aligned. I also need to make sure the amount of glossy tip is the same on each nail. Not so bad though. For a final touch, I decided to use Juicy Couture Gold Glitter as an accent because it has that adorable heart glitter.
I love the way this turned out! I hope you all enjoy the day!

OPI Big Hair, Big Nails with Juicy Couture Gold Glitter
Hey dolls, the theme for this Monday's mani in the Polish-aholics Anonymous fb group was creative layering. Since I had a great first experience with jelly sandwich manis (see the post here), I figured I would do another one. This time I went with another unused OPI sorbet, Big Hair, Big Nails. This is a gorgeous orange jelly that leans towards a peachy-coral color in some lights. I used 2 coats for the first part of the sandwich. There was still some VNL (visible nail line), but I didn't really mind it...especially since I'd be doing more layering.
The shine on these OPI sorbets is amazing! I really like Big Hair, Big Nails. Its definitely a color to brighten up your mood. I then added 2 coats of Juicy Couture Gold Glitter. I got this great glitter from my girl Neeka over at In the Life of a MILF in her first giveaway. This gold hexagon glitter is suspended in a clear base. I was happily surprised to see that gold hearts were also in this glitter...love them! My only complaint with this glitter is that they are somewhat difficult to disperse around the nail. You have to work quickly to move them to where you want them. After the 2 coats of Gold Glitter, I added another coat of Big Hair, Big Nails. For a final touch, I added one more coat of Gold Glitter to my middle fingers as accents. These pics were taken on the next day, hence the different lighting.
I love this look! Hubby says it looks like a party on my nails. I'm loving these layered manis...its helping me push through the untrieds!
