Nails Inc Baker Street

Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian, Heather Hawkins

ShopStyle
Hey dolls! Hope you all are doing well. I started a new job last week at a reading research center, so I'm trying to get adjusted to being at a desk all day and working normal 8-4:30 hours. By the time I get home in the evenings, the last thing I've been wanting to do is my nails. I graduated over the weekend and wore Essie Mojito Madness for several days. I took pictures on day 3 or 4 of that mani and it had already started to chip, so I probably won't share those.

Tonight I decided to do my nails using Nails Inc Baker Street. This color has been in the back of my mind since I purchased it last month. My local mall finally got a Sephora; I'm so happy I can get more high end brands on the ground now. Baker Street is an extremely popular cobalt blue creme. It caught the attention of many polish lovers when it was seen on Beyonce during one of her first outings with baby Blue Ivy. The formula was extremely pigmented. I only used one coat for most nails, but there were a couple that I had to add another coat just to make sure it leveled out evenly. As I'm getting home later in the evenings, the sun more than likely won't be out for pictures. I'm still trying to perfect pictures in my light box, but these are pretty accurate.
Baker Street complimented my skirt perfectly!
I adore Baker Street! I think it now has a place in my top 5 blues and it will definitely be on my year end favorites list. This is a must have for blue lovers! Cobalt blue is such a huge trend in fashion right now and I just can't get enough of it.

Happy hump day dolls!

Reader's Choice Mondays ~ Nails Inc. Sweets Way

Hey dolls! The winner of this week's Reader's Choice was Nails Inc. Sweets Way with 45% percent of the votes. Sweets Way is part of the Sprinkles collection and is a milky white base filled blue, pink, and silver glitter. The formula was a little thick, but easy to use. It dried relatively quickly and I applied two thick coats for opacity.
Sweets Way is a super cute and fun polish! I love the pastel glitter and how some appear to be matte. My stepdaughter is in town for the summer and she decided to wear the other two colors, so we were Sprinkles triplets. Here are a couple of pictures we took on Instagram.
Sweets Way complimented my dress for church perfectly!
For next week Reader's Choice Monday, I have three American Apparel polishes as your options. I recently received these in a swap, so I'm excited to try out this brand for the first time. Please feel free to vote below and the poll will close on Friday, August 3, 2012.

Guest Post ~ Pandora's Nails

Today I'm sharing with you a guest post from one of my favorite bloggers, Rebecca from Pandora's Nails. She takes amazing pictures and is the main reason why I'm having a love affair with a-england polishes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow!  Me as a guest poster, I am so honoured and would like to give a big thanks to Refined and Polished for having me.
I had a bit of a difficult time deciding what this post should be about, should it be amazing/complicated/artistic/detailed....... and then after a million ideas had came and went I decided best to stick with what I know.
So the post I have for you today is a mani I enjoy to wear and always love it when I do, it is simple and easy to do, yet striking.
First we start with a-england Lancelot which is a black polish with a hint of red. This is 2 coats over the Knight (a-england base coat). No top coat.
Then I added 1 coat of Nails Inc Electric Lane Holographic top coat. This is a scattered holo and shown here with 1 coat of the Shield (a-england top coat).
And sometimes I also wear it this way, mattified with Nails Inc Westminster Bridge Matte Effect top coat, 1 coat.
Which way do you prefer Shiny or Matte?
I hope you like my post and thank you again for having me here.
This is simple, yet gorgeous...my kind of mani! I really like the way it looks matte. Make sure you check out Pandora's Nails to get more of her gorgeous nails and layering combinations. Thanks Rebecca for sharing with my readers!
