Barielle Summer Fun Collection

Hey dolls! Today I have for you pictures of one of Barielle's newest collections called Summer Fun. The collection consists of five creme polishes that are perfect for the warm weather. All five had the typical Barielle creme formula, were easy to apply, and were opaque in two coats. The photos below were taken in my light box or in the sunlight.

Berry Go 'Round is described as a creamy coral red. While the description is accurate, Berry Go 'Round is much lighter in person than what the graphic image displays on the website.

Mint Ice Cream Cone is a creamy light mint green. I really like this one because it's not too pastel or too chalky looking.

Ocean Breeze is described as a creamy seafoam aqua green. This shade may remind you of Barielle Swizzle Stix, but Ocean Breeze is a little more dusty.

Peach Popsicle is a creamy coral peach. This one is much lighter and less red than Berry Go 'Round. I absolutely love the way peach polishes compliment my skin tone.

Pink Flip-Flops is a creamy baby pink. It has blue undertones so this may work well on those who prefer cooler polishes.

Overall, I think this is a great set for those looking to build a nail polish collection. While you may have colors that are similar to these, if you prefer the Barielle formula to others, you'll want to try a few of these out. My favorites from the Summer Fun collection were Peach Popsicle and Mint Ice Cream Cone. Barielle polishes can be purchased for $8 per bottle and they are typically BOGO 50% off.

Zoya Elodie

Hey dolls, here's a quick post on a nail art fail that I wore during my hiatus. Zoya Elodie is a gorgeous orange-leaning coral jelly-creme hybrid that's been in my untrieds for almost a year. I've been wanting to wear it for the longest, so I decided to go for it. The formula was great. I applied two coats and there was still some visible nail line, but that didn't bother me because of the jelly-like quality of the polish. I saw this super cute color blocked cloud mani on Neverland Nail Blog that I thought would make a great accent nail. Zoyas Wednesday (turquoise) and Gaia (white) were used for the accent nail. I was rushing to get to a baby shower and I failed...it ended up turning into a regular cloud mani that wasn't very even.

While I love coral and turquoise together, this cloud mani was not nearly as cute as one I did previously. I'll have to attempt this again with another color combo. I wasn't going to show this, but oh well, we can't win them all.

Love & Beauty Coral Pink

Hey dolls, here is a quick post from the vault. I wore Love & Beauty Coral Pink a few weeks ago and forgot to share the pictures (my nails were much longer then). I received this polish as an extra in a package from my polish friend Stephanie over at Imperfectly Painted. This is my first Love & Beauty polish and I was very impressed with the formula. Coral Pink is exactly that; a coral polish with pink shimmer. I applied two coats in the pictures below.

I really love this polish, but I wish the shimmer would have shown up as clearly on the nail as it did in the bottle. I actually added a coat of China Glaze White Cap to Coral Pink to take the shimmer up a notch, but the pictures disappeared mysteriously. I'll post them if they turn up anytime soon. Thanks for the great polish Steph!

Zoya Blogger Collection ~ Jelly Sandwiches

Hi dolls, today I have for you 3 jelly sandwich combinations that I did with the Zoya Blogger collection. I've used all of the glitters in previous posts, so you can just click the name for a description of the polish. Up first is Coraline and Essence Circus Confetti. I applied three coats of Coraline, one coat of Circus Confetti, and then another coat of Coraline. This combination was extremely fun and it looked like a party on my nails!

Next we have Kate and OPI Servin' Up Sparkle. This combination was my absolute favorite! I love how the glitter was subtle, but still stood out. I applied three coats of Kate, one coat of Servin' Up Sparkle, and another coat of Kate.

Finally, I paired Belle with Funky Fingers Golden Coast. This combination was soft and feminine. It looked as if I dipped my fingertips in gold dust, as I applied Golden Coast in a gradient manner. I used three coats of Belle, one coat of Golden Coast, and another coat of Belle. This one may have been even better with another coat of Golden Coast.

This collection is absolutely perfect for jelly sandwiches, so I hope you all enjoyed the pictures and are inspired to do your own sandwiches. I have some more glitters on the way from several indie brands, so I can't way to try other combinations.

By the way, today is my one year wedding anniversary so I can't wait for hubby to get home from work so we can celebrate. Here is a picture of my wedding nails! You can click the picture for my wedding day post and other pictures.

Zoya Blogger Collection

Hi dolls, a huge smile came on my face when I received the email from Birchbox about the Zoya Blogger collection. I almost passed until I read in the description that all of the polishes were jellies. Jellies are one of my favorite finishes, so I was all in for this set. The Blogger collection consist of three polishes that were inspired by mood boards from beauty bloggers. I'll go ahead and say now that the formula for all three was flawless and applied effortlessly. Three coats of polish was used for the pictures.

Coraline, inspired by Eleventh Gorgeous, is a warm tangerine jelly. While I thought Arizona looked like juice was poured over my nails, it has nothing on Coraline! Coraline is an amazing orange that reminds me of orange jelly beans.

Kate, inspired by The Small Things, is a pinkish grapefruit jelly. It looks amazing on the nail and is my favorite from the collection. Kate is pretty unique when it comes to other jellies in my collection. It is the perfect blend of pink and orange. This color was so hard to photograph! It was most color accurate in the shade.

Belle, inspired by Capitol Hill Style, is a coppery pink with iridescent shimmer. I'm kind of on the fence with this one. I like Belle, but I think it would be better as a regular shimmer polish.

Overall, I like this set a lot and I'm glad I ordered. The colors are perfect for the spring and summer. Stayed tuned for jelly sandwiches with each of these polishes! At the time of this post, the Blogger collection is still available on Birchbox, so you may be able grab these for yourself.

SpaRitual Hidden Reef

Hey dolls, today I'm wearing SpaRitual Hidden Reef. I fell in love with this shade as soon as it was released a few months ago. I was lucky enough to receive a mini bottle from my polish friend Michele (as well as Deep) in a secret valentine swap. Hidden Reef is a gorgeous pink-leaning coral that is filled with pink and gold shimmer. The formula was really good and Hidden Reef was completely opaque in two coats.

I love the way Hidden Reef looks on me! The pink undertones really come out in the shade or low light. This is only my second SpaRitual, but I'm very impressed! I can't wait to wear the others I have.

Barielle Elated

Hey dolls, Barielle has a Valentine's day contest going on over on their facebook page and I decided to enter a photo. I realized that the only shade I had in the pink/red family is Elated, which is a chameleon of sorts. In some shades it looks pink, in others more red, and at times coral. This color just screams warm summer day to me. The formula was very easy to work with and I applied two coats.

I decided to do a simple dot on dot look. Essie Marshmallow was applied first using a large dotting tool and then Elated was applied on top with smaller dots.
