FingerPaints Sparkle Top Coat

I almost didn't buy this polish, but I remember seeing it on the Nailphile and gawking at how gorgeous it was. Lucky for me, I was picking up a polish for a swap and there was one Sparkle Top Coat left. This iridescent top coat has a duochrome effect that flashes pink, purple, and gold. I applied one coat over Orly Androgynie since I wasn't feeling it on its own.

I am mesmerized by this polish! I can't wait to let it transform other colors that I'm not so crazy about.

Pink Wednesday ~ China Glaze Caribbean Temptation

Hey dolls, excuse the lateness of this post, but I had the toughest time trying to capture the duochrome in this pretty polish I'm wearing today. After showing my pink stash here, reader Anouk requested to see China Glaze Caribbean Temptation. This polish could be ChG Reggae to Riches' (see post here) pink sister. They are very similar. Caribbean Temptation is a pink duochrome with flashes of purple and blue. It applied like a dream and there were no formula issues. My biggest problem was trying to capture the duochrome beauty. I used two coats.

I normally wouldn't have included this last picture, but it shows a little bit of the blue in this shade. Believe me it's much more visible in real life. Here is the link to a picture that shows the duochrome better than I could. We've made it halfway through the week and I'm extremely ready for the weekend! Happy polishing dolls!

Hey dolls, the theme for the week in the nail fanatics forum was duochromes. I was actually surprised when I was going through my stash to see that I don't own many of these...but I did come across a beauty. China Glaze Reggae to Riches is a beautiful fuschia that flashes a light blue shimmer. The formula was super easy to work with and I had full opacity with 2 coats. This polish was so hard to photograph! I had to try all sorts of lighting to get the duochrome to appear. Its very apparent on the nails in real life though.
Inside, natural light...finally got the duochrome to show :)

This color is so GORGEOUS! I couldn't stop taking pictures of it. If I had a top 10 list of polishes, Reggae to Riches would be on it. You'll also notice that I cut my nails down. I didn't have any major breaks, but I had to file down my middle finger a few days ago...so the others looked a little weird still being so long. No worries though, my nails grow extremely fast.

How do you feel about duochromes???
