Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker

Kendra Scott, Chan Luu, Rebecca Minkoff, American Apparel

ShopStyle

Hey dolls, today I have a gorgeous polish for you! Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker is a white jelly filled with blue, green, yellow, red, and purple glitters in all different shapes and sizes. I knew that the formula was sheer, so I layered Jawbreaker over two coats of Essie Marshmallow (my go to white polish). Jawbreaker applied very easily and I didn't have much trouble getting the larger pieces of glitter onto my nails. It was smooth with one layer of top coat.
Love, love, love this! Jawbreaker looks so cool on the nail. I love that it is white without being stark and the random assortment of glitter makes it look so festive, yet clean. The Pretty & Polished store is out of stock now, but keep watch of her facebook page to know when it opens. If you don't mind the madhouse, you may be able to score some polishes.

I received more indie polishes in the mail today that I wanted to share pictures of. Up first is my order from The Hungry Asian. The order arrived extremely quickly! The heart shaped bottles are adorable.
I also placed an order with Haze Glaze. The shipping was not as fast, but I received a prompt response when I inquired and she even included an additional polish (Angel Flakes) with my order. She has a great deal on her site where you can get a mini bottle trio of your choice.
I tend to order mini bottles from indie brands because you can get more colors for your money and honestly, I've only used an entire bottle of polish once in my life.

Have you gotten any indie polishes lately?

My Latest Polish Acquisitions...

I've been getting a lot of nail mail lately! Getting packages always make me happy. Here are some pics of my latest acquisitions!
I won the 150+ follower giveaway over at In the Life of a MILF. You should definitely check her out if you haven't already! This is Zoya Sienna, Sinful Colors Dream On, Ulta Limelight, Poshe Fast Drying Top Coat, Essie Sand Tropez, and Juicy Couture Gold Glitter.
I received Essie Matte Magic through a swap with a good fb friend. She also threw in Revlon No Shrinking Violet. This is my first Revlon polish!
I couldn't help but order from the Zoya promo...you dolls know how much I love them! These are Jem, Neeka, Yara, Dree, Cynthia, and Marina. So many pretty fall colors...which to wear first???
Yesterday I got these pretties in the mail. Just like with Zoya, I can't resist a Barielle promo either. These were 50% off on top of buy one get one 50% off!!! I ordered Elated, Jess' Champagne Toast, Date Night, and Suntini. You guys have to stop sleeping on Barielle if you haven't tried any of their polishes. They can be purchased online and I've seen a small collection at Ulta.

Also in the picture, I swapped for my first Catrices with another fb friend. She has a great polish fb page called Lucky Lacquers. Check her out! Swaps are an awesome way to get brands that you can't find locally. This is Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans and Bird of Paradise. She threw in China Glaze Bahamian Escape...love it!

Looks like the untried count just went back to where I started...lol. I've been doing an awesome job of only wearing untrieds though. :) Happy polishing dolls!

Polish + Shoes = Happy Me!

Friday nights are date night for hubby and I. This past Friday we decided to do a little shopping after going to happy hour. I have to admit that shoes are my first love...ask any one I know and they tell you about my shoe collection. First shoes...then polish. Hubby likes the polish addiction a lot better since its a much cheaper habit. :) I was so happy to find out that Aldo, one of my fav stores for cute shoes, is now carrying nail polish!!! Its called Vernis A Ongles, which is French for nail polish/nail lacquer. The collection wasn't that large, but I'm assuming that's because they just started selling them.  Here's what I bought...

Gray heels from Dillards; floral wedges from Belk

Royal Mint & Hit the Pavement

I tried to find out some more info on the web about these polishes, but I came up pretty short. I did see a few posts from 2010 about ALDO releasing a polish collection, but that was it. Either way, I'm in love with the shoes and I cant wait to try the polish! I'll be giving a report on these soon!!! In other news, I received some nail mail from Traci over at The TraceFace Philes...a box full of awesomeness! Yes, that is turquoise shatter!

Happy polishing (and shoe shopping) dolls!

Drugstore Haul...Sinful Colors & Wet n Wild

After hearing on one of the nail forums that Walgreens had their entire stock of Sinful Colors on sale for $.99, I had to make my way there. I was glad to see that Wet n Wild polishes were on sale for $.69, so I threw in a couple of those too. Here's what I got:

Sinful Colors: Unicorn, Let's Meet, Cloud 9, Pink Forever, Forget Now, Happy Ending, Mint Apple, Nail Junkie, & Purple Diamond

Wet n Wild: Sparked, Wild Card, Night Prowl, & Caribbean Frost

Looks like I've got some swatching to do. Did any of you take advantage of this sale?

Zoya Haul!

I don't know what nail polish planet I've been on, but I was just introduced to Zoya a few months ago by some friends. Thanks to their awesome facebook fan page, I learned very quickly about this company. I took the opportunity to order some of their polishes during their last 2 promos. I ordered the entire Intimate Collection during the International Women's Day promo and then I got 8 more colors from the new summer collections during the BOGO sale.
The entire haul
Here's a close up of the Intimate Collection.
Dannii, Caitlin, Marley, Gemma, Dove, Jules
From the Sunshine Collection...
Apple, Kimmy, Tanzy
From the Summertime Collection...
Sooki, Areej, Keiko, Breezi
I also purchased Lolly from the Mod Matte Collection, but the pictures came out really blurry. I am officially in Zoya heaven!!! I've tried a couple of the colors so far and I'll be sure to share pics with all of you. If you haven't had your Zoya fix, check out their website. Your nails will thank you for it!
