KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone

Hey dolls! Today I'm wearing a polish that I wanted as soon as I saw photos of it last month - KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone. Don't Teal Anyone is described as a deep teal base with gold, teal, blue, navy and fuchsia hexes in several sizes, and micro fuchsia bars. I can't say that I noticed the micro bar glitter, which is a good thing since I don't particularly like bar glitter. The formula was good and two coats were used for the pictures below. These pictures were taken after a day of wear.

Don't Teal Anyone did not disappoint! I am so in love with this polish, I've been wearing it since Tuesday night (hence why there was no Pink Wednesday post). I still have it on and the tip wear is still pretty minimal.

Polish Days ~ Geometry

Hey dolls! I was so excited when the theme for this month's Polish Days was released. I had so many great ideas...unfortunately, none of them worked the way I wanted it to. I'll probably show you those fails at a later time. Yesterday I decided to take the easy route of stamping, which in actuality isn't that easy for me since I don't do it often. I started with two coats of Barielle Blossom, a gorgeous peach creme. After Blossom was dry, I stamped on geometrical patterns using Bundle Monster image plate #208 and a-England Saint George.

I'm pleased with the way this turned out even though it wasn't my initial goal. Sometimes you just have to roll with it. I love this color combo and Saint George compliments Blossom well. Make sure you take a look below at what all of the other ladies have come up with!

Fall 2012 Trends ~ Tempting Teal

Hey dolls! I love when Refinery29 releases their predictions for nail polish trends. As we approach fall, I figured Labor Day weekend would be a great time to start showing you some colors I like that are aligned with their picks. The first trend features a color I love - Tempting Teal. Teal is one of those shades that looks good on so many skin tones. My picks are some new releases, along with a few oldies.

Zoya Gloss Collection

Hey dolls! Today I have pictures of the Zoya Gloss collection. I was most excited about this set because they are all jellies and you all know how much I love a jelly sandwich mani!

Paloma is a deep fuchsia-berry jelly. It had the best formula out of this collection. Three coats of Paloma were used in the pictures below. The visible nail line is much more apparent in the pictures than it was in real life.

I then sandwiched two coats of Orly Spazmatic between another coat of Paloma. Spazmatic is a blue hexagonal glitter that also has a blue-violet shimmer. These two looked great together!

Zoya Frida is a dark, warm-toned teal blue jelly. I was most excited about this shade because it is not one we typically see in a jelly formula. Frida's formula was the most sheer and problematic. Five coats were used in the pictures below. Luckily, Frida dried relatively quickly so I did not have to wait long in between coats.

For the jelly sandwich, I added one coat of Milani Hot Pink and another coat of Frida. Hot Pink is filled with silver and pink hexagonal glitter. I wore this combination for several days and it garnered lots of compliments.

Katherine is a dark red-toned aubergine. This shade was just okay to me. Four coats of Katherine were used in the photos below.

I have wanted to attempt a jelly sandwich using flakies for awhile, so I pulled out Zoya Chloe. Chloe is from Zoya's Fleck Effect collection and is a sheer pink base filled with flakies that flash red, orange, gold, green, and blue. Two coats of Chloe were used and then an additional coat of Katherine.

I love all of the jelly sandwich combos that I came up with! If you are a fan of jellies, you will probably want to add a couple of these to your collection. Frida and Paloma were my favorites. Zoya polishes can be purchased for $8.

A England Saint George

Hey dolls, I hope you all won't be disappointed that I'm not wearing pink today when you see this beauty. The two weeks that I waited for my new A Englands to arrive seemed like forever, but I was not disappointed at all when I saw Saint George and Dragon. I decided to wear Saint George first, which is a deep teal with shimmer and scattered holographic particles. Saint George was opaque in one coat, yes, only one coat! It was a dream to apply. I've said this before about Tristam and Avalon, but I must reiterate here that A England has the BEST formula I've ever used!

Yes, I had to include all of these pictures because Saint George is just that amazing! Now I'm wishing I would have gotten more from this collection. I just may have to do that.

Finger Paints Mottley & Nicole by OPI Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam

Today's post was supposed to be all about Nicole by Opi Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam, which I've been wearing for 2 days but I happened to layer one of the new FingerPaints Special Effects top coats over it and I'm mesmerized! This collection had not shown up in any of my local Sally Beauty Supplies as of 1.5 weeks ago, but I'm lucky to have several polish friends who sent me the 4 I wanted from this set (thanks Tamala, Michele, and Neeka). The first top coat I decided to wear was Mottley, which is filled with blue and green flakies. Here is one coat over Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam.

Mottley looks like it was made for Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam (while I like the Kardashians, this is the lamest polish name ever). This teal creme applied well and was opaque in 2 coats.

This shade was one of the only ones I wanted from the Kardashian Kollection, which I could never find locally either. It really pays to have polish friends, so thanks Crystal for sending me this one.

Hey dolls, I just realized that I have not changed my nails since Tuesday. I've been rocking my second breast cancer awareness mani and getting lots of compliments on it. I recently acquired Nubar Reclaim, so that polish is missing from the green wheels but I'll be wearing it soon. I didn't realize how many Zoya greens I had until I started to list them out. My absolute favorite is Zoya Gemma...there is just something about that polish that makes me so happy. My favorites in the turquoise/teal family are ChG Turned Up Turquoise and Cult Nails Let Me Fly. Doing these stash photos have really helped me slow down in the purchase area...which is definitely great for my wallet. It also helps that I haven't gone crazy over a lot of the new collections. All that's left is browns/nudes, reds, and blacks/grays. I may combine those into one post since I don't have a lot in those families. As usual, let me know if there's anything you'd like to see that hasn't been blogged about previously.
